Site Description: Shandong University of Economics, formerly known as Shandong University of Finance and Economics, was founded in 1952. It is the earliest financial and economic ordinary university established in Shandong Province and one of the earliest financial and economic ordinary universities in China. In 1978, it was renamed Shandong University of Economics and became one of the first units in the country to obtain the right to confer bachelor's degrees. In 1993, it became a master's degree granting authority unit. In 2009, it was confirmed as the authorized construction unit for the doctoral degree. After more than 50 years of development and accumulation, the school has now become an ordinary higher finance and economics institution with a focus on economics and management disciplines, and a coordinated development of multiple disciplines such as literature, law, science, engineering, and education.
