Site Description: Xingtai Vocational and Technical College is a full-time ordinary university that focuses on engineering and recruits students nationwide, cultivating applied high skilled talents in production, construction, management, and service for society. The college was established in 1979 and was under the jurisdiction of the General Logistics Department of the Chinese People's Liberation Army in 1984. In 1991, it undertook the pilot task of higher vocational education under the former National Education Commission. In 1997, it was first named as a "vocational and technical college", and in 2000, it became one of the first key construction units of national demonstration vocational and technical colleges. In 2002, it was transferred to Hebei Province and became a provincial-level university. In 2005, it was selected as a pilot college for the "National Demonstration Vocational and Technical College" by the Ministry of Education and passed expert evaluation, In December 2006, it was established by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Finance as one of the first 28 "National Demonstration Higher Vocational College Construction Plan" approved universities in China.
