The area for this pile test is the main structural area of the Su Song Planetarium, using PHC500-125-AB piles. The pile sinking process is constructed using static pressure method, and 1209 piles are planned to be driven in this area. The successful completion of this pile test provides reliable technical parameters for the next comprehensive pile foundation construction.

It is reported that the Susong Planetarium is a public service supporting construction project for the Tongxiang High tech New City industry, located in the core area of Tong'an District of Tongxiang High tech New City, Xiamen. It is located on the southwest side of Kangxun Road and Chengdong West Road, and on the east side of Sucuoxi River. The construction land area is 27042.835 square meters, with a total construction area of 51040 square meters and a total investment estimate of 589 million yuan. It is invested and constructed by Tongxiang High tech New Town Investment and Construction Co., Ltd. of China Communications First Highway Bureau (Xiamen), It will strive to build itself into a first-class astronomical science popularization communication center, space science experience center, science and culture exchange center and social innovation practice center in China.
