At the main forum, multiple heavyweight guests exchanged practical experience on-site, shared innovative achievements, explored cutting-edge issues, and expressed their thoughts on the development of high-end instruments and meters. Long Teng, an academician of the CAE Member and president of Beijing University of Technology, introduced the current situation and problems of deep space detection radars at home and abroad, and demonstrated the development process of "China Compound Eye", a high-resolution deep space active observation facility of ultra large distributed aperture radar for asteroid detection. He stated that after the successful development of the facility, it can spontaneously collect electromagnetic waves, thereby achieving high-resolution observation of near Earth/main belt asteroids, the moon, Venus, Mars, etc., meeting major national needs such as near Earth asteroid defense and space situational awareness.

Tan Jiubin, an academician of the CAE Member and president of the Precision Instrument Engineering Research Institute of Harbin Institute of Technology, introduced the future development needs, development opportunities and new forms of ultra precision measurement and instruments, and particularly emphasized that ultra precision measurement and instruments play a fundamental and technological leading role in promoting the development of manufacturing industry, especially high-end equipment manufacturing, There is a special and urgent need to improve the performance and quality of China's high-precision and cutting-edge equipment.

What is the current status and trend of domestic instrument development?According to Nian Fushun, Chief Scientist of China Electronics Technology Group Co., Ltd., the foundation of China's domestic instrument industry is relatively weak, and there are still problems such as weak independent innovation ability, the credibility of domestic instruments has not been established, serious "hollowing out" of instruments, and high-end instruments being controlled by people. There is still a significant gap in technology and industry level compared to developed countries. However, at the same time, China's scientific instrument market has enormous potential and broad development space. He suggested that the innovative development of China's scientific instrument industry must make top-level plans, break through the bottleneck of scientific instruments through government guidance and independent innovation by enterprises, and enhance the level of scientific instrument innovation and industrial autonomy.

Professor Zhang Xinrong from Tsinghua University stated that there has been significant progress in the development of analytical instruments in China. Although imitation is still the main focus, the status of scientific instruments in China has transitioned from being a technological "follower" to becoming a technological powerhouse. From imitation to innovation is the only way for the development of scientific instruments in China.
