Meta CEO Zuckerberg praised Musk's significant layoffs on Twitter as a "role model" for the industry in a LexFriedman podcast on Thursday. He believes that Musk's attempt to make the Twitter platform more technical and reduce the company's management hierarchy is correct.

His actions have made me and many industry insiders think, 'Have we done enough?' Zuckerberg said. 'Can we make our company better by implementing some of the same principles? I also believe that the changes he has made may benefit the entire industry.'

Zuckerberg also said, "My feeling is that there are many people (entrepreneurs) who think these changes are good, but they may be a bit shy and afraid to do so

From taking over Twitter at the end of October last year to February this year, Musk laid off thousands of employees, reducing the number of Twitter employees from approximately 7500 to less than 2000.
