Science and Technology Daily, Paris, June 18 (Reporter Li Hongce) - French President Malone announced a series of investment plans on June 16, deciding to invest in the development of low-carbon aviation transportation from 2024, including the production of lower emission commercial models, and the establishment of a biofuel industry in China.

During the visit to Safran's factory in Seine-et-Marne Province, Makron announced a series of investment plans to "prepare for technological breakthroughs in the aviation field and develop the first ultra low consumption aircraft". France plans to provide 8.5 billion euros in funding by 2027 to help the industry accelerate the development of the next generation of zero emission aircraft.

Markron hopes that France's ultra-low emission aircraft will make rapid progress and be able to start production before 2030. To achieve this goal, the funds will mainly be used to fund the development of the next generation 'Sustainable Engine Innovation Program'. The engine can operate using hydrogen and all biofuels, and is jointly developed by CFM, a joint venture established by Safran in France and General Electric in the United States.

Markron stated that some of the funds will be used to develop "new types of power", such as hybrid and hydrogen energy. The government hopes to maintain Airbus's advantage. Airbus has led the global aviation industry in sales in the past few years, surpassing its competitor Boeing. The Airbus A320 Neo model is the world's best-selling aircraft series, with most of these aircraft produced in France.

Makron also hoped to maintain France's energy sovereignty by accelerating the development of the field of sustainable aviation fuel. He decided to promote the creation of a sustainable aviation fuel production and distribution chain in France, for which he would allocate 200 million euros. Makron emphasized that "reducing carbon emissions in the aviation sector can support national energy sovereignty". France's goal is to create a local biofuel industry by 2050, which is seen as a key factor in achieving France's aviation carbon neutrality goal.

France is planning to establish a factory that will use waste oil, agricultural or wood residues to produce fuel. This project, called "BioTJet", is jointly promoted by the industrial alliance formed by the French French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission and Total and other enterprises. Makron has set the goal of "providing 75000 tons of sustainable Jet fuel for airlines by 2030". In addition to maintaining France's sovereignty in the manufacturing and distribution of aviation fuels, the goal also includes reducing the prices of future sustainable aviation fuels, which are currently six to seven times higher than kerosene.

In addition, private aircraft will receive dual funding support from both public and private sources to promote the development of hydrogen commercial aircraft.
