CRRC Zhuzhou Institute recently announced the launch of its independently developed 2000-standard cubic meter electrolyzer in Zhuzhou, Hunan Province. The electrolyzer incorporates multiple advanced technologies, offering significant advantages, and also introduced a flexible green hydrogen production equipment solution for large-scale electrolyzers.
It is understood that CRRC Zhuzhou Institute has established a complete R&D and testing capability in the field of hydrogen energy equipment, able to provide five core equipment sets including hydrogen production power supply, electrolyzers, separation and purification, process control, and energy management, as well as three system services including off-grid hydrogen production, intelligent flexible energy allocation, and unmanned hydrogen production plants.
The release of the 2000-standard cubic meter electrolyzer marks a significant breakthrough in CRRC Zhuzhou Institute's hydrogen energy equipment field. Compared to the commonly used 1000-standard cubic meter electrolyzer products in the industry, the 2000-standard cubic meter electrolyzer boasts the following advantages:

Taking a 1GW green hydrogen production project as an example, the 2000-standard cubic meter electrolyzer can save 21,000 square meters of space, reducing factory construction costs by over 30% and electrolyzer equipment costs by approximately 20%.
2. Lower Hydrogen Production Costs:
In terms of hydrogen production costs, assuming a 1GW green hydrogen production project operates for 8000 hours/year with an electricity price of 0.25 yuan, compared to products currently available in the market that consume 4.5 degrees per standard cubic meter, hydrogen production costs are reduced by approximately 80 million yuan/year. Based on the electrolyzer's lifespan of 25 years, the overall lifecycle cost can be reduced by up to 2 billion yuan.
