The "Benxi Tools Smart Factory5G Empowers SMEs' Digital Transformation Benchmark" project, jointly completed by China Mobile Liaoning Company, Benxi Tools, and ZTE, won the "Market Development and Business Value Award," successfully showcasing the enormous potential of 5G technology in empowering the digital transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
This project built a dual-frequency 5G-A private network system using 2.6GHz and 4.9GHz, providing deterministic network service assurance and efficient local data offloading for digital applications through innovative 5G-A industrial computing base station shunting and UPF main/backup dual-link design. This ensures network stability and reliability.
Based on a high-performance dual-frequency 5G-A network and the ZTE Digital Nebula platform, the project implemented a series of innovative applications, including the deployment of various ZTE-developed logistics robots such as 5G unmanned stackers, 5G unmanned forklifts, and 5G wearable and roller AGVs, creating an intelligent factory logistics system; an intelligent control production system integrating numerical control equipment PLC data acquisition, IOT platform, and workshop production dashboards; and a high-precision milling tooth AI vision inspection system.
Through these innovative practices, Benxi Tools achieved significant improvements in efficiency and capacity: waiting time reduced by 50%, overall defect rate reduced by over 90%, delivery time shortened by 20%, and output increased by 1.5 times. The Benxi Tools smart factory project provides an optimal demonstration for the digital transformation and upgrading of SMEs.
