Moscow, March 23 - Russia's Soyuz MS-25 spacecraft lifted off on a Soyuz-2.1a rocket from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan at 3:36 p.m. Moscow time on Thursday, March 23, carrying a three-person crew to the International Space Station.

The crew consists of Oleg Artemyev from Russia, Marina Vasilenko from Belarus, and Nick Hague from the United States. Vasilenko is the first female cosmonaut from Belarus to travel to space.

The launch marks the first crew rotation mission for Russia's crewed space program in 2024. The Soyuz MS-25 spacecraft is scheduled to dock with the ISS on March 25, and the Soyuz MS-25 crew will spend 12 days conducting joint operations with the three astronauts aboard the Soyuz MS-24 spacecraft.
