The theme of this annual meeting is "Philosophy of Geology on the Safety of Mineral Resources", and six representatives exchanged speeches around theoretical innovation and practical examples of mineral exploration theory.

Zhu Xun (representative of Bi Kongzhang, former secretary of China University of Geosciences) gave a speech on the practical effects and theoretical significance of mineral exploration theory. He pointed out that mineral exploration theory is a summary of mineral exploration practice, a Marxist dialectical thinking method, and a philosophy of practice.

Cheng Liwei, former Chief Engineer of the Ministry of Natural Resources, Zhou Mingling, Member of the Party Committee and Deputy Team Leader of the Sixth Geological Brigade of the Shandong Provincial Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources, Hu Kui, former Director of the National Mineral Reserves Management Bureau, and Lv Guoping, Deputy Chairman of the Geological Philosophy Committee, respectively delivered exchange speeches.

Yu Xishun, former Party Secretary and Team Leader of the Seventh Geological Brigade of the Shandong Provincial Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources, wrote "The Practice of Mineral Exploration Theory in Shandong". The meeting was chaired by Wang Yuping, Executive Deputy Director and Secretary General of the Philosophy of Geosciences Committee. Yu Haoke, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Institute of Mechanics of the China Geological Survey and Chairman of the Geoscience Philosophy Committee, made a summary speech at the meeting.
