It has gone through periods such as Pingyuan Agricultural College, Baiquan Agricultural College, and Henan Vocational and Technical Normal University. In May 2004, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, it was renamed Henan University of Science and Technology. The school is based in Henan and faces the grassroots level, cultivating various types of applied senior specialized talents with a solid foundation, diligence, pragmatism, dedication, innovative spirit and practical ability.
