Site Description: Jiangsu Normal University of Technology was founded in 1984 and is the only independent undergraduate institution in Jiangsu Province that was established earlier in China with the main task of cultivating vocational education teachers. It is a vice chairman unit of the Vocational Teacher Qualification Professional Committee of the China Vocational and Technical Education Association, as well as a chairman unit of the Precious Metal Deep Processing Professional Committee of the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association and the Precious Metal Recycling Professional Committee of the China Material Recycling Association. In 1992, the school was granted the right to confer a bachelor's degree. In 1999, it was established by the Ministry of Education as one of the first national key construction bases for vocational education teacher training. In 2008, it passed the evaluation of undergraduate teaching work level by the Ministry of Education with excellent results.
