Site Description: Dalian Medical University was founded in 1947, formerly known as Kanto Medical College. In 1949, Kanto Medical College was merged into Dalian University and renamed Dalian University School of Medicine. In 1950, the establishment of Dalian University was abolished and Dalian Medical College became independent. In 1969, Dalian Medical College relocated southward to Zunyi City, Guizhou Province, and established Zunyi Medical College. In 1978, the school was reopened at the original site of Dalian Medical College, still known as Dalian Medical College. In 1994, the school was renamed Dalian Medical University. The school has now developed into a medical university with a focus on medicine and multiple disciplines such as literature, science, management, and law.
