Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts is a well-established higher education institution in the Department of Fine Arts and Design in Guangdong Province. Founded in the autumn of 1953, its predecessor was Zhongnan Art College, which was formed by the adjustment and merger of the art majors of South China University of Literature and Art, Zhongnan University of Literature and Art, and Guangxi Art College.
