The college was established in 2001 and currently has two campuses Changsha and Xiangtan. The Changsha campus covers an area of 398 acres and has a construction area of over 70000 square meters. It is located on Xinkaipu Road in Tianxin District adjacent to the new site of the provincial government. The Xiangtan Campus covers an area of 1000 acres and is located in the core area of the "Changsha Zhuzhou Xiangtan" integrated Jiuhua Economic Development Zone. The new campus is surrounded by mountains and rivers with a beautiful environment. The total construction area is 400000 square meters and the first phase of the 100000 square meter project was completed in August 2008. Nearly 4000 students have moved into the new campus to study and live. The second phase of the project has started and is planned to be completed within 3 years. With a total investment of nearly 1 billion yuan modern teaching buildings training buildings libraries teacher apartments expert villas student apartments gyms and other modern office teaching living and sports facilities are all in place making it a paradise for students' physical and mental health growth.
