Enping 15-1 Oilfield Group is fully put into operation, with an annual crude oil production of over 2.5 million tons
CNOOC announced on September 18 that six new oilfields of Enping 15-1 oilfield group located in the the Pearl River Mouth Basin have been fully completed and put into operation, forming a modern offshore oilfield group integrating high production, intelligence, low carbon and other characteristics, with an annual crude oil output of more than 2.5 million tons
CNOOC announced on September 18 that six new oilfields of Enping 15-1 oilfield group located in the the Pearl River Mouth Basin have been fully completed and put into operation, forming a modern offshore oilfield group integrating high production, intelligence, low carbon and other characteristics, with an annual crude oil output of more than 2.5 million tons.
The Enping 15-1 oilfield group is about 200 kilometers southwest of Shenzhen, and the average depth of the sea area is about 90 meters. Since the start of construction in August 2021, a total of 4 offshore platforms, 99 kilometers of submarine pipelines, and 25 kilometers of submarine umbilical cables have been built.
The Enping 15-1 oilfield group is completely designed, constructed, installed, and operated independently in China. It can achieve multiple functions such as drilling, workover, unmanned remote control, comprehensive treatment of oil, gas, and water, independent power generation and power grid formation, carbon dioxide reinjection and storage, and is by far the most intelligent and fully functional offshore oilfield group in China.
Accelerated intelligent and unmanned transformation of the marine oil and gas industry
In recent years, China has steadily promoted the construction of intelligent oil fields, and achieved the intelligent and unmanned transformation of offshore operations through deep integration of digital technologies such as cloud computing, Internet of Things, big data, and artificial intelligence with core exploration and development businesses. The comprehensive production of the Enping 15-1 oilfield group marks a breakthrough in China's intelligent development model for offshore oil fields.
The Enping 15-1 oilfield group has large reserves and a wide distribution, with the first batch of large-scale unmanned intelligent platforms in China - Enping 10-2 platform and Enping 20-5 platform, achieving intelligent perception and remote control of the entire system, all directions, and all sequences.
Wang Shimeng, Director of Enping 20-4 Platform, Shenzhen Branch of CNOOCThe crude oil production capacity of two unmanned platforms is equivalent to a large traditional platform with a capacity of 10000 tons, and the weight and area are only one-third of those of traditional platforms. This reduces engineering investment by about 280 million yuan, reduces daily maintenance workload by nearly 30%, and can save operation and maintenance costs of over ten million yuan annually.
The frequent occurrence of typhoons in the summer and autumn seasons along the coast of China has a significant impact on the normal production of oil fields. For the first time in China, a typhoon unmanned production process has been adopted in a new offshore oil field project. The Enping 15-1 oil field group can be remotely controlled for production through land, with functions such as safe shutdown, subsea pipeline replacement, and production recovery under extreme conditions, greatly ensuring the safe and stable operation of the oil field during the typhoon.
Wan Nianhui, General Manager of Enping Oilfield, Shenzhen Branch of CNOOCThis year, the Enping 15-1 oil field cluster has successfully responded to three typhoons, namely "Taili", "Dussuri", and "Sula". Through remote unmanned production, the impact of the typhoon has been reduced, and the cumulative loss of crude oil production has been recovered by over 10000 tons.
China's offshore carbon dioxide storage project has exceeded ten million cubic meters of gas injection
There is China's first offshore carbon dioxide storage demonstration project built on the Enping 15-1 platform. Since the project was put into operation on June 1st this year, a total of over 10 million cubic meters of carbon dioxide have been injected.
The Enping 15-1 oilfield is high in carbon dioxide, and through the carbon dioxide separation and pressure treatment device on the platform, as well as a carbon dioxide reinjection well, the carbon dioxide generated by oil extraction can be injected into the seabed formation on a large scale. It is estimated that this reinjection well can store approximately 300000 tons of carbon dioxide annually.
Mei Chuang, Director of Enping 15-1 Platform at CNOOC Shenzhen BranchResponsible for the carbon dioxide storage system, which consists of 6 large systems and 28 single machine equipment. We carefully manage each equipment according to the principle of "specialization, system planning, and equipment planning" to ensure the trouble-free operation of the carbon dioxide storage equipment.
The the Pearl River Mouth Basin in the South China Sea, including Enping Oilfield, has the geological conditions for large-scale carbon sequestration. China is increasing scientific research, continuing to promote green development of offshore oil and gas fields, and actively exploring "shore carbon into the sea" to open up a new path for carbon reduction and environmental protection for coastal high emission enterprises.
