Previously, Wang Huiwen, Vice President of Lenovo Group and Chief Quality Officer of Computers and Intelligent Devices, stated that the adoption of low-temperature solder paste technology would be the trend in the electronic product manufacturing industry. Lenovo is willing to open this technology free of charge to all manufacturers, jointly promoting the green and sustainable development of the industry.
Now, Luca Rossi, Senior Vice President and President of Lenovo's Intelligent Devices Group, delivered a speech at the 2023 CanalysEMEA Forum, promising to achieve a net zero emission policy by 2050 and estimating that 80% of Lenovo's equipment will be repairable by 2025.
It is worth mentioning that Lenovo has also announced that 8 million laptop products will use "silk aluminum" 5L52 material this year.
This new aluminum material was jointly developed by Lenovo Group and Chinalco Ruimin. According to the official statement, before the birth of the "silk aluminum" material, the aluminum magnesium alloy plate grades in the standard GB/T3190 mostly followed the material numbers of the former Soviet Union, the United States, and Japan, and have been in use for decades now.
