During the "Double Festivals" period at Guangzhou Baiyun Airport (September 29th to October 6th), a total of 11200 flights took off and landed, picking up 1.6236 million passengers, ensuring 48700 tons of cargo and mail, an increase of 49.79%, 88.77%, and 25.70% compared to 2022, and an increase of 4.94%, 0.35%, and 28.82% compared to 2019.

The reporter learned from Baiyun Airport that during the Mid Autumn Festival and National Day holidays this year, the airport's passenger flow showed a trend of "both in and out", with a total of 1.6236 million passengers picked up and dropped off during the 8-day long holiday, and an average daily passenger flow of 203000, achieving the second peak passenger flow of this year after the summer transportation. Among them, there were 5 days when the passenger flow was at a high level of over 200000 people, and the peak day of passenger travel occurred on October 6th, with 217200 passengers being picked up and transported on a single day.

In response to the "Super Golden Week" of 8 consecutive days off, Baiyun Airport, in conjunction with air traffic control, airlines, joint inspection units, airport public security, etc., has increased the security efforts for key positions such as "slot allocation," "luggage support," "check-in service," "passenger inspection," and "road traffic," to ensure efficient and smooth travel of passengers on Baiyun Airport flights during the holiday period.

During the "Double Festival" holiday, all 57 domestic passenger security checkpoints at Baiyun Airport are open during peak hours, with over 9300 passengers inspected and released per hour during the peak hours. Each parking lot guarantees a total of 272338 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 41.57%. The airport customer service center provides consulting services for over 15000 people per day, a year-on-year increase of nearly 90%.
