A team of experts organized by Guizhou University and Guizhou Dashahe Nature Reserve Management Bureau will conduct a one-year field investigation in the reserve.
The Dashahe National Nature Reserve in Guizhou Province is located in Daozhen Autonomous County, Zunyi City, northern Guizhou Province. It is a wildlife nature reserve mainly protected by the populations and natural habitats of rare and endangered animal and plant species such as silver cedar and black leaf monkey.
The purpose of this investigation is to investigate the natural geographical environment, biodiversity status, ecosystem functions, socio-economic status, and current threats within the nature reserve, and to further verify and verify the current status of "background" resources, providing scientific basis for the future scientific planning, construction, management, and development of the nature reserve.
As of now, there are 3808 species of wild plants in the protected area, including 6 species of national first level key protected plants such as silver fir, and 68 species of national second level key protected plants such as water green tree; There are currently 1813 species of wild animals, including 10 species of the first level national key protected animals such as the black leaf monkey, and 49 species of the second level national key protected animals such as the red bellied golden pheasant.
