On June 16th, the Artificial Intelligence Framework Ecological Summit was held in Shanghai. This summit comprehensively focuses on the development of artificial intelligence framework ecology, promotes innovation in the artificial intelligence industry, explores AI framework ecological models and scenario applications in the context of AI technology innovation and industry integration, and also brings a series of latest developments and achievements in artificial intelligence frameworks at this summit. This includes the joint release of the "Ecological Initiative for Building an Artificial Intelligence Framework" by 18 AI leading enterprises, societies, universities, and research institutes, the establishment of the Shengsi MindSpot Open Source Community Council, the official launch of the Shanghai Shengsi AI Framework&Big Model Innovation Center, and the first batch of 22 units settling in, as well as the official release of the full mode big model "Zidong Taichu 2.0".
In the era of digital intelligence, AI, as one of the important General-purpose technology, has a strong "head goose" effect of spillover drive. In the entire AI technology system, the AI framework is in the position of "connecting the preceding and the following", enabling diversified computing power in the south and incubating various innovative algorithm models in the north, which is the soil and source of AI application innovation. At the meeting, 18 leading AI companies, universities, research institutions, and open-source communities jointly launched the joint initiative of "Building an Artificial Intelligence Framework Ecology and Prospering China's Artificial Intelligence Industry", proposing to support China's artificial intelligence framework ecology to a new height and promote the new development of China's artificial intelligence industry through the joint efforts of government, industry, academia, and research.
Currently, the artificial intelligence framework ecosystem represented by Shengsi and others is achieving rapid development. As of the end of May 2023, the download volume of the Shengsi open-source community has exceeded 4.74 million, with 13000 community contributors and 5500 service enterprises. It has collaborated with 240 research institutes, with over 400 open-source models and over 900 top-level papers published. In order to better promote the rapid development of Shengsi Community, the Shengsi Community Council was officially announced at the conference site. The first group of member units includes AI chip enterprises, AI application enterprises, universities, and academic institutions, totaling 18 units. Based on the principles of "co construction, sharing, and co governance", the council will gather the strength of the industry, take root in AI technology, and jointly build an open, diverse, and inclusive AI framework technology ecosystem, promote ecological prosperity, accelerate innovative development of universities, research institutions, and other industries, enabling the operation of business, finance, education and research, and contribute solid strength to the development of the AI industry.
At the meeting, Ding Cheng, the chairman of Shengsi Community, introduced four major innovation directions for the future, including technological innovation based on "building a large model, enabling the entire process, and a new paradigm of scientific computing", to accelerate the incubation of new AI applications; Based on the operational innovation of "Big Model Platform, StudyGroup, Geek Week, and Global Open Source Ecology", we aim to promote community achievements to users more efficiently; Based on the talent innovation of "providing different training models for developers at different stages of learning, growth, and research", cultivate the AI industry soil; Based on new means such as establishing industrial consortia and industrial zones, continuously improving diversified computing power and hardware support for ecological innovation.
Shanghai Institute of Artificial Intelligence, Minhang District Government of Shanghai, Lingang Group and Shengsi Open Source Community jointly launched Shanghai Shengsi AI Framework&Large Model Innovation Center (hereinafter referred to as the Innovation Center). The Innovation Center will work with industrial partners to support AI technology enterprises, universities and research institutes nationwide to incubate large models, and scientific and intelligent technology research based on the Shengsi MindSporeAI framework, so as to enable enterprises to create extremely easy to use Ultimate performance AI solutions and applications serve key artificial intelligence industries such as the internet, telecommunications operators, finance, education, and healthcare, creating a series of competitive "AI+industry" demonstration application scenarios, and promoting industrial agglomeration.
At present, the first batch of 22 units, including Shanghai Artificial Intelligence Laboratory, Shanghai Jiaotong University, COMAC Shanghai Aircraft Design and Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Sciences Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica, CloudWalk Technology, have officially settled in the innovation center. They will cooperate with Shengsi Community to carry out large-scale model innovation and AI industry university research transformation, become the "birthplace" of AI technology and application innovation, and jointly promote the high-quality development of AI framework ecology to take greater steps.
With the development of artificial intelligence, the importance of AI big models is becoming increasingly prominent, and the development of AI frameworks will strongly support the innovation of big models. At the meeting, the full-mode large model "Zidong Taichu 2.0" launched by the Institute of Automation based on Shengsi was officially released. The big model is an upgrade based on the 100 billion parameter three mode big model "Zidong Taichu" 1.0. In addition to voice, image and text, it adds more modes such as video, sensor signal, 3D point cloud, etc., realizes full mode open access to structured and unstructured data from the technical architecture, breaks through the key technologies such as multimodal association for cognitive enhancement, and supports multiple rounds of question and answer, text creation, image generation, 3D understanding Cross modal tasks such as signal analysis, with full modal intelligent annotation capabilities, can achieve automatic detection of unknown targets. Based on the "Zidong Taichu" 2.0, the "Zidong Taichu" open service platform with full stack localization and low code one-stop development has been launched, which supports the one-stop deployment of public cloud and Cloud computing#Private cloud, enables the efficient development of large models in the industry, gives play to the enabling value in more fields, and accelerates the realization of general AI.

Shengsi Community adheres to the concept of "technology first, developers first", gathers the strength of developers to jointly build an open source community, and learns and grows together with developers. At the meeting, a total of 21 development teams, individual developers, university students, and teachers were awarded the "Shengsi Outstanding Contribution Award" and "Shengsi Outstanding Guidance Teacher Award" respectively.
