On July 30, the EHang EH216-S unmanned passenger aircraft, autonomously developed by EHang Intelligent, successfully completed its maiden flight with passengers in Taiyuan, Shanxi province. This marks the official entry of the aircraft into the operational stage and injects new momentum into the development of China's low-altitude economy.
The EH216-S that took its maiden flight is one of the first 10 aircraft delivered to Taiyuan Xishan Eco-Tourism Investment and Construction Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Xishan Tourism") in the second quarter of this year. At the maiden flight ceremony on July 28, two EH216-Ss took off simultaneously, carrying a total of 4 passengers, and successfully completed the flight mission safely and smoothly, demonstrating its outstanding performance and reliability.
The EH216-S adopts a multi-rotor and fixed-wing integrated design, combining the advantages of vertical takeoff and landing with the ability to switch to fixed-wing flight mode in the air, achieving longer range and higher efficiency.
