On October 25th, the 14th China Management Global Forum, themed "Digital Intelligence Drives Value Growth," took place in Wuxi, Jiangsu. Hisense Group Chairman Jia Shaoqian, as the rotating chairman of the 2025 Enterprise Group, delivered a keynote speech titled "Building World-Class Enterprises with Chinese Management."

Jia Shaoqian stated that during Hisense's recent 55th anniversary celebration, the company established a new goal of "building world-class enterprises and achieving world-class brands," and they are fully prepared to achieve this ambition. In his speech, he also unveiled Hisense's goal of reaching a 50 billion yuan (approximately $7 billion USD) industrial scale for its smart energy industry cluster.

"To expedite the construction of world-class enterprises, Hisense's global layout will continue to accelerate," Jia Shaoqian mentioned in his speech. Currently, Hisense has over 100,000 employees worldwide, including 25,000 foreign employees. It has initially formed an integrated research, production, and sales layout across six global regions: Europe, Americas, ASEAN, Middle East and Africa, Asia Pacific, and China ("5+1"). Building on this foundation, Hisense has launched new projects this year in China: the Hisense Hitachi Changsha plant and the second phase expansion of the refrigerator Chengdu plant, both slated for production next year. The company is also accelerating the establishment of production bases or joint ventures in African countries like Nigeria, Angola, Egypt, Algeria, and Morocco. In ASEAN, the television factory in Vietnam has commenced trial production, and the construction of the white goods factory in Thailand is in planning stages.

Jia Shaoqian emphasized that building world-class enterprises first requires achieving leadership in corporate governance. In recent years, Hisense has adhered to long-term principles by implementing ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) principles. The company has made public disclosures and future commitments regarding environmental responsibility, inclusive workplaces, compliant and stable operations, green technology adoption, and product experience optimization. Hisense Group aims to "achieve operational carbon peak no later than 2026 and achieve operational carbon neutrality no later than 2050."

Jia Shaoqian pointed out that facing global challenges, Hisense is responding with comprehensive digitization: using it to underpin its new global layout and leveraging comprehensive intelligence to build more high-quality productivity. Faced with business diversification, globalization, a vast organizational structure, dispersed business processes, and regional differences, Hisense has achieved global research and development (R&D) collaboration and sharing, agile supply chain response, and real-time global operations management through comprehensive digital transformation.

During the forum, Jia Shaoqian also discussed the recent acquisition of Colin Electric. In late August this year, Hisense successfully acquired and took control of Colin Electric. Within just two months, the new board of directors and management team of Colin Electric have been put in place. The Hisense team and the original Colin team have achieved initial integration and have engaged in comprehensive exchanges and learning at Hisense. "In the future, Hisense's smart energy industry cluster will achieve an industrial scale of 50 billion yuan, carving out a unique competitive advantage and development space in the global new energy market," Jia Shaoqian stated.

"The effectiveness and advanced nature of the Chinese management model and culture have been validated on a global scale," Jia Shaoqian asserted. Going forward, Hisense will continue to reinforce its core competitiveness in technology and products, leverage its powerful influence in cross-cultural integration, and utilize its global competitiveness in brand matrix construction. The company will remain committed to its own brand, pursue high-end development, and expedite the construction of world-class enterprises.

Jia Shaoqian's speech showcased Hisense's determination and action in global layout, digital transformation, and ESG implementation. Hisense aims to leverage its Chinese management model as a foundation, continuously enhance its competitiveness, and advance towards its goal of becoming a world-class enterprise.
