For 21 year old Lao international student Wu Mingxiong, his first study trip to China filled him with anticipation. In April this year, Wu Mingxiong took the China Laos railway connecting China and Laos to Guangxi Liuzhou Railway Vocational and Technical College to "learn" relevant technical knowledge of high-speed railway.

Wu Mingxiong remembers that when he first boarded the cross-border high-speed railway, his heart was both nervous and excited. He recalled in a recent interview with reporters: "The high-speed railway was very fast, initially a bit uneasy, but later found that it was running very steadily." He took the high-speed railway from Luang Prabang Province in Laos and arrived at Mohan Station in Yunnan Province, China, in only about 2 hours. Subsequently, transfer from Yunnan to high-speed rail to Liuzhou City, Guangxi, with a total cost of over 800 RMB.

As a landmark project of high-quality co construction of the "the Belt and Road", the opening of the China Laos Railway has greatly promoted the exchanges and economic development of cities along the line in Laos. It used to take a day by bus from Luang Prabang Province to Vientiane, but it only took about 2 hours to arrive after the high-speed railway was opened. "Wu Mingxiong said that because he was optimistic about the development prospects of the high-speed railway, he chose to study operations management in China, hoping to achieve success in his studies and return to China to work.

Railway transportation is an emerging industry in Laos, and the future is promising. Like Wu Mingxiong, there is also Lao student Wang Yi who is optimistic about the development of the railway industry. 20-year-old Lao girl Wang Yi came to China with her cousin from Laos to study abroad. She hopes to become a "flight attendant" in the future, dressing up beautifully every day to serve passengers from both Laos and China.

At present, a number of "the Belt and Road" co construction projects, such as Ya'an Wanzhou High speed Railway and China Thailand Railway, are also advancing in an orderly manner. With the continuous promotion of connectivity between China and ASEAN countries, there is a strong demand for railway composite talents, and exchanges between China and ASEAN countries are becoming increasingly close.

As a vocational college with a railway background in southwestern China, Liuzhou Railway Vocational and Technical College has admitted four sessions of Thai students and two sessions of Lao students. Among them, 45 Thai international students have already graduated, and 26 students have started working in Thai rail transit enterprises.

At the same time, Guangxi continues to accelerate the construction of an international corridor facing ASEAN and comprehensively improve the accessibility of transportation infrastructure. Guangxi has built a total of 43 major land transportation channels (highways, railways) that lead out of the province to the sea, connecting with surrounding provinces and countries. Together, it has built a major land transportation channel that connects to the north, south, east, and west, with the Beibu Gulf Port as the sea outlet, and multiple railway and highway channels sharing the burden, connecting the southwest and northwest, and facing ASEAN.

Next, Guangxi will launch efforts from both sea, land, and air simultaneously. According to the plan, Guangxi will have 13 expressways leading to border ports connecting with Vietnam; In terms of maritime transportation, Guangxi is accelerating the construction of berths 9 and 10 in the Dalanping South Work Area of Qinzhou Port and 1 and 2 in the Chisha Work Area of Fangcheng Port; In terms of air transportation, Guangxi will accelerate the construction of a major aviation corridor for ASEAN.
