Not long ago, the "Marine Geology 2" research vessel was equipped with China's first marine floating thermoelectric power generation device and conducted its first sea trial at a depth of 1900 meters in the South China Sea. The total duration of the experimental power generation exceeds 4 hours, with a maximum power generation of 16.4 kilowatts. This sea trial not only proved the feasibility of the independently developed ocean thermal energy power generation system principle, but also achieved practical verification of power generation utilization.
According to Ningbo, a senior engineer from the Guangzhou Marine Geological Survey of the China Geological Survey, they have conquered key core technologies such as small temperature difference and wide load turbine power generation, deep-sea insulation and water intake, and cold water pipeline installation process; At the same time, fully leveraging the advantages of Guangzhou Nansha's high-quality industrial cluster, the system integrates multiple advantageous enterprise resources, and the localization rate of the device reaches 100%, with low cost and strong mobility.
