On October 14th, the 5th China Suqian Laser Equipment Industry Development Conference, with the theme of "East China Optics Valley Wisdom Creating the Future", was held in Sucheng District, Suqian City. Academicians, experts, research institutions, and business representatives from the laser field focused on laser and cutting-edge technology applications, deepened innovation exchange and cooperation, and conspired for the development of the laser industry. This conference focused on signing 42 projects with a total planned investment of 41.12 billion yuan. The successful signing of the projects further expands the Suqian laser equipment industry chain, enhances the influence and driving force of industrial development.

As an industry event in China's laser equipment industry, this conference aims to vigorously promote the integration, integration, and high-level grafting of lasers with more downstream industries in the local area through the integration of "light and number" and the collision of "intelligence and innovation". We will fully promote Suqian to build an advanced manufacturing base in the Yangtze River Delta, seize the commanding heights of future industrial development, promote industrial transformation and upgrading, and assist Suqian in building a new highland for the development of the laser industry in East China.

"After the development in recent years, Suqian's laser industry has gradually formed a complete industrial chain." Zhou Shouhuan, an academician of the CAE Member and a researcher of the 11th Research Institute of China Electronics Technology Group Corporation, said in his speech that he hoped Suqian would continue to promote industrial integration, strengthen technology research and development, strengthen cooperation with domestic and foreign universities and research institutions, accelerate the pace of extending the chain, supplementing the chain and strengthening the chain, and promote the healthy and rapid development of the laser intelligent manufacturing industry.

Since 2016, the Suqian Laser Industrial Park has been planned and constructed. After seven years, nearly a hundred well-known laser and optoelectronic enterprises, including Huagong Laser, Kaiprin Optoelectronics, Jiatai Laser, and Jiangsong Technology, have successively settled down, including 38 national high-tech enterprises and 64 national technology-based small and medium-sized enterprises. 21 innovative technologies have filled the domestic gap and 56 are leading domestically. Positioning itself as the "East China Optics Valley, the core of intelligent manufacturing", targeting the "10 billion yuan park and laser navigation", we have formed a full industrial chain industry with lasers as the upstream, equipment manufacturing as the midstream, and application fields as the downstream, becoming one of the 20 key industrial chains in Suqian City.

As one of the first batch of characteristic industrial clusters for small and medium-sized enterprises in the province, the annual output value has maintained a high growth rate of over 40% in the past three years, and it is expected to exceed 5 billion yuan this year. Three independent research and development equipment, including Xianhe Laser, have been awarded the first major equipment in Jiangsu Province. Yongnian Laser has won the first prize in provincial mechanical technology progress, and 156 laser products (technologies) have passed new product and technology appraisal at or above the provincial level. The laser industrial park has been successively approved as a national level technology enterprise incubator, a provincial-level characteristic innovation (industry) demonstration park, a provincial-level technology industrial park, a provincial-level technology enterprise incubator, a provincial-level innovation and entrepreneurship demonstration base, and a provincial-level comprehensive experimental zone for harmonious labor relations. The successive honors demonstrate that "East China Optics Valley" is courageously advancing towards a future of wisdom and innovation.

Industrial development cannot do without a good business environment. Sucheng District actively implements the "Several Policy Measures for Supporting the Development of the Laser Industry in Suqian City" and provides support in technology research and development, financial services, and other aspects.
