However, the sun always shines after the wind and rain, and success often lies in perseverance. Recently, the third class of "Academician Lecture" in Ningbo opened at Ningbo No.2 Middle School, More than 400 students, including 100 "Little Academicians" and "Xiangban" and "Yuban" from Ningbo No.2 Middle School, who were publicly solicited throughout the city, attended the lecture on-site, while other primary and secondary school students watched through online platforms.
The guest of the lecture was Wang Jianyu, an academician of the CAS Member, the executive deputy chief designer and chief satellite commander of the world's first independently developed quantum science experiment satellite, Mozi. He told the students the story behind the success of Mozi.
Wang Jianyu is a 1975 graduate of Ningbo No.2 Middle School. Before the opening ceremony, he presented a bouquet of flowers to his homeroom teacher and physics teacher Du Meijuan.
The atmosphere of the lecture was warm. When Wang Jianyu talked about the team behind the "Mozi", except for the chief scientist who had a background in studying in Europe, all of them were trained locally in China. In the new era, Chinese scientists are independent and self reliant, tackling problems independently, and leading the world in technology, the students applauded with thunderous applause, and the interactive Q&A session was even more applauded.
Wang Jianyu said that quantum satellites are a scientist's "dream" and he is a dreamer. Looking up at the green 'Mozi' slowly passing through the vast night sky, 'she' is the brightest star in the starry sky, 'Wang Jianyu said passionately.
As the world's first quantum satellite, the development of "Mozi" has no precedent, and its success has enabled China to achieve international leadership in this field. Wang Jianyu's lecture made it easy for students to understand the significant significance of quantum communication in information security, as it is the safest communication method we know... "Mozi" is a quantum satellite born with a series of missions.
In the development of quantum satellites, China has made progress in many key technologies and achieved world leadership, "Wang Jianyu said, which cannot be separated from the efforts of the entire team. Wang Jianyu shared the story behind the success of "Mozi" and his own growth story, and told the students that success lies in perseverance.
During the interactive session, students actively asked questions to academicians. Wang Jianyu answered one by one, gave affirmation and encouragement, and hoped that students would have the opportunity to embark on the path of scientific research.
It is reported that "Academician Lecture" is an important measure taken by Ningbo to build a "Academician Town" primary and secondary school science education brand, and three phases have been carried out. Previously, academicians such as Shi Yigong, Hu Wenrui, and Ouyang Ziyuan had given lectures to students on scientific literacy and Chinese scientists' journey to the sea of stars.
Recently, the Ningbo Education Bureau, Ningbo Science and Technology Bureau, and Ningbo Association for Science and Technology jointly issued the "Implementation Measures for Science Education in Primary and Secondary Schools in the" Academician Town "of Ningbo City," which clearly focuses on school science education as the main battlefield, leverages the role of extracurricular science education resources, constructs a science education mechanism for collaborative promotion within and outside the school, and strives to do a good job in adding science education in the context of "double reduction".
