The meeting was directed by the China Remote Sensing Committee, hosted by the Aerospace Academy of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Space Remote Sensing Professional Committee of the Chinese Society of Space Sciences, and the Remote Sensing Geographical Professional Committee of the Chinese Geographical Society, and undertaken by Tianjin Zhongke Spectral Information Technology Co., Ltd. The organizers hope to enhance traditional remote sensing interpretation capabilities through industry exchanges and discussions, further enhance the breadth and depth of remote sensing applications, and further promote remote sensing application scenarios from traditional application scenarios to multi industry applications.
Tong Qingxi, an academician of the CAS Member, reviewed the development of remote sensing in China, and introduced the important achievements of water quality remote sensing in China, especially in combination with hyperspectral technology. He believes that in the future, remote sensing of water quality should further fully leverage the advantages of high spectral resolution of hyperspectral remote sensing data, while breaking traditional thinking and boldly embracing new technologies and methods on the basis of remote sensing physical model research.
Xia Qinglin, Director of the Management Committee of Tianjin Binhai High tech Zone, delivered a speech and expressed the hope that the attending experts would share the latest research results, deeply explore the application and development of hyperspectral remote sensing technology in fields such as environmental protection, water conservancy, water affairs, and smart cities, and assist in the construction of Tianjin's smart city.
Researcher Zhang Bing, Vice President of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, pointed out in a speech that water quality remote sensing should boldly explore new data analysis and application models, establish a new paradigm for event prediction that highly integrates mathematical models and physical models, and greatly improve the ability to predict water quality.
