China's Online Shopping User Base Continues to Grow, Green Consumption and "National Tide" Products Become New Growth Points

According to Ms. Shen Juhua, deputy general manager of a textile company: "We have newly added 24 jacquard machines, and there are more than 100 weaving machines in the factory. Since the production started in September (last year), the (performance) has basically doubled every month. We don't have to worry about orders for the next 3 to 4 months."

The "Statistical Report on Internet Development in China" shows that in 2023, China's consumer market has continued to recover, and new consumption growth points represented by "national tide" products consumption have emerged. The proportion of users who have purchased "national tide" products online accounts for 58.3% of the total number of online shopping users. Under the strong impetus of new consumption, China's economy is recovering and improving, and high-quality development is being steadily promoted.

Liu Yulin, Director of the China Internet Information Center, said: "In 2023, the number of post-90s and post-00s users who have purchased national tide products online exceeded 150 million. With the continuous enhancement of young consumers' sense of identity with traditional culture and the supply level of domestic brands, new consumption momentum will continue to be released."

In addition, cultural output is also setting off a "new trend". The number of Internet video users in China is close to 1.1 billion, and Internet video content represented by short micro-series is developing rapidly, promoting the spread of Chinese culture overseas in a more novel and dynamic way.
