Kunshan City Air Terminal Launches "Air-to-Air" Service, Reaching Shanghai Pudong Airport in 30 Minutes
In recent years, with the continuous growth of air travel demand, the low-altitude economy has also ushered in new development opportunities. On August 11, the "air-to-air" service from Kunshan City Air Terminal to Shanghai Pudong Airport officially began its trial operation, marking a significant step forward for Kunshan in the field of low-altitude economics.
This service is operated by a BELL505 single-engine, four-seater light helicopter, with a maximum speed of 231 kilometers per hour and a maximum range of 566 kilometers. Compared to traditional land transportation, the "air-to-air" service reduces the original 1.5 to 2-hour ground travel time to within 30 minutes, significantly improving travel efficiency.
During the trial operation, the single-trip fare is set at 1600 yuan/person or 1800 yuan/person. The service includes a single-trip air-to-air transportation service from Kunshan City Air Terminal to Shanghai Pudong Airport, as well as one-on-one dedicated airport ground services. Including ground shuttle time, the entire journey is controlled within 1 hour, providing passengers with a more convenient and efficient travel experience.
A relevant official from Kunshan City Air Terminal stated that the "air-to-air" project service will deeply expand the coverage of the low-altitude economy. Utilizing the professional resources of helicopter companies, Kunshan Development Zone will use Kunshan City Air Terminal as a starting point to launch low-altitude tourism services to Shanghai Disney, Zhoushan, and Huangshan, as well as cross-border aviation emergency medical rescue transportation services to Ruijin Hospital, Chest Hospital, and Pulmonary Hospital in Shanghai.
This not only provides passengers with a more convenient travel option but also injects new vitality into Kunshan's urban development. In the future, Kunshan will rely on the "air-to-air" service to further improve the low-altitude economic development system, actively expand low-altitude economic application scenarios, and inject new momentum into urban development.
New Opportunities Brought by the "Air-to-Air" Service
The trial operation of the "air-to-air" service marks a significant step forward for Kunshan in the development of the low-altitude economy and brings new opportunities for urban development:
- Improving Urban Transportation Efficiency: The "air-to-air" service reduces the journey that would normally take several hours to 30 minutes, greatly improving urban transportation efficiency and providing passengers with a more convenient and efficient travel experience.
- Promoting Low-Altitude Tourism Development: Kunshan will use the professional resources of helicopter companies to launch low-altitude tourism services to Shanghai Disney, Zhoushan, and Huangshan, providing tourists with a new travel experience and promoting the development of the low-altitude tourism industry.
