People's Daily Online and Hebei Construction Corporation Xiong'an Company Jointly Build Xiong'an AI Technology Building to Empower Development of Xiong'an New Area

People's Daily Online and Hebei Construction Corporation Xiong'an Construction and Development Co., Ltd. signed a cooperation agreement in Beijing on October 10, agreeing to jointly build the Xiong'an AI Technology Building. The building is located in Jinhu Future City, Xiong'an New Area, adjacent to Qiulang Park, with a total construction area of about 20,000 square meters. External construction and surrounding supporting facilities have been completed.

The Xiong'an AI Technology Building aims to build a comprehensive platform integrating AI results transformation (exhibition) center, innovation exchange center, cultural exchange center and international communication center. Qin Xianhong, Party Secretary and General Manager of Hebei Construction Corporation Xiong'an Company, said that the joint construction of the building will promote the innovative development of AI technology, digital culture, and tourism and media industries. The project will facilitate in-depth cooperation between the two parties in content co-creation, brand promotion, event planning, and enterprise introduction, and contribute to the cultural construction and social development of Xiong'an New Area.

Bian Jianguo, member of the Party Working Committee of Xiong'an New Area and Director of the Propaganda and Cyberspace Administration Bureau, also expressed his expectations for the project. In November 2019, the National Key Laboratory of Communication Content Cognition, supervised by People's Daily and constructed by People's Daily Online, was approved for construction. It was successfully reorganized in May 2022 and became one of the first 20 national key laboratories in the Ministry of Science and Technology, marking People's Daily Online as a national strategic scientific force in the field of artificial intelligence.

Relying on this laboratory, People's Daily Online independently developed the "Dreamland" AI Exhibition Center and launched the first immersive AI exhibition and experience drama "The Wonderful Journey of Bai Ze", which has been warmly received by the market. The "Dreamland" AI Exhibition Center not only showcases AI technology and application achievements in various fields around the world but also provides a platform for promoting the integration, exchange, and cooperation of the AI industry. Currently, People's Daily Online has established and operated two exhibition centers in Wuhan and Nanning respectively.

In the future, People's Daily Online will work with the Propaganda and Cyberspace Administration Bureau of Xiong'an New Area, the Investment Promotion Service Center of Xiong'an New Area, and Hebei Construction Corporation Xiong'an Company to jointly plan, build, and operate the Xiong'an AI Technology Building, striving to create a new platform for exchange and a new carrier for investment attraction for Xiong'an New Area.
