Microsoft Expands Cloud Gaming Library, Xbox Games No Longer Limited to XGP

Currently, Xbox Cloud Gaming players can only play Xbox Game Pass (XGP) games in the cloud. However, Microsoft recently announced that starting next month (November), they will expand the cloud gaming library, allowing players to play more Xbox games on the cloud, no longer limited to the XGP catalog.

Back in 2019, Microsoft outlined their long-term vision for Xbox Cloud Gaming, aiming to bring the entire Xbox game library to the cloud platform. Now, this plan is finally starting to be implemented step-by-step.

Beyond expanding the cloud gaming library, Sarah Bond, president of the Xbox division at Microsoft, also announced that starting in November, players will be able to directly purchase Xbox games within the Xbox app on Android. This move will further enhance the gaming experience for players, enabling them to more easily access and enjoy Xbox games.

Previously, Microsoft announced that Xbox Mobile App Store would be launched in July, but the project is currently still in testing, and Microsoft has not yet announced any further progress.
