It happened in Tucheng District, New Taipei City, Taiwan, China, China. On the afternoon of June 30, on the way from home to the Cram school, the boy in grade 5 of the primary school, the smart watch on his right hand suddenly exploded and caught fire, causing burns and scalds on many parts of his hands. The boy cried loudly on the road. Fortunately, the roadside shopkeeper helped to deal with it first. The boy went to the Cram school with pain, and the teacher saw him and rushed him to the hospital.

The injured boy was sent to Tucheng Hospital for treatment. The doctor found that the boy had a 2nd degree burn on his right forearm, and assessed that he may need to undergo skin grafting surgery in the future. It is reported that the exploding smartwatch was purchased online by parents of boys four years ago in order to facilitate contact and keep track of their children's whereabouts.
