Ningbo Huikang Industrial Co., Ltd. is one of them.

In 2021, Huikang became a national level specialized and innovative "little giant" enterprise. As a company specializing in the manufacturing of special precision refrigeration equipment and commercial central air conditioning, Huikang has invested heavily in purchasing a complete set of production equipment such as laser cutting machines, robot welding machines, and CNC multifunctional punches. It has established an experimental testing center with an area of over 2500 square meters and has conducted industry university research cooperation with research institutes such as Tsinghua University and Zhejiang University. Currently, Huikang has over 100 core patents.

Ningbo Shunyun Electronics Co., Ltd. is another national level specialized and innovative "little giant" enterprise in Simen Town. Since its establishment for 20 years, it has been focusing on the development of intelligent control systems for kitchen appliances. Entering the surface mount technology (SMT) assembly workshop of the company, 9 production lines were fully operational. "This workshop is a ten thousand level purification production workshop, with constant temperature and humidity throughout the year, which can quickly and accurately achieve the installation of more precise electronic components." The company leader introduced, "The workshop only has 30 workers, and the 24-hour automatic assembly line produces two shifts, with a daily production capacity of 20000 sets of kitchen electrical products

It is understood that Shunyun spends 4% of its annual sales revenue on scientific research, and has a research and development team of over 40 people and postdoctoral workstations. In addition, it has established a research and development center in Hangzhou and a school enterprise cooperation with Hangzhou University of Electronic Science and Technology.

In recent years, the new energy vehicle market has been thriving. Yijin New Energy Vehicle Industrial Park is one of the key projects introduced by Simen Town, which will promote the development of emerging industries such as local new materials, new energy, and new equipment. As the first batch of enterprises to settle in the industrial park, Ningbo Saifu Automotive Brake Co., Ltd. has invested 120 million yuan in the research and development and manufacturing project of ABS module assembly, which has been put into production.

At present, the town has 44 national high-tech enterprises, 54 national technology-based small and medium-sized enterprises, 2 national specialized, refined, and new "little giants" enterprises, and 8 provincial-level specialized, refined, and new enterprises.

Statistical data shows that 47 out of the 172 enterprises on the scale in Simen Town have an output value exceeding 100 million yuan. In the past five years, 4 enterprises have established provincial-level academician workstations and postdoctoral workstations, 3 enterprises have been rated as invisible champions and individual champions, 9 enterprises have entered the "specialized, refined, and new" inventory in Ningbo City, and 15 enterprises have been selected for the "350" gradient cultivation plan for industrial enterprises in Yuyao City. The number of high-tech enterprises has increased by 300%, reaching a total of 44, The proportion of the added value of high-tech industries to the added value of industries above designated size has increased to 50%.
