Zou Xiuqin, the head of Qingtian County Crop Station, introduced that since 2013, Qingtian County has taken the lead in demonstrating and popularizing the rain sheltered cultivation technology of Myrica rubra in mountain facilities in the whole province. At present, the total area of popularization has reached 800 mu, which can realize water-saving irrigation and intelligent temperature control. Living in a "house", sheltering from rain and insects, the quality and harvest rate of Yangmei have greatly improved, with an average yield of over 80000 yuan per mu and an output value increase of about 10 times per mu.

The reporter learned that Myrica rubra is one of the leading agricultural industries in Qingtian County, and the planting area has exceeded 110000 mu. At present, the output value of myrica rubra in Qingtian County accounts for 25% of the total agricultural output value, and nearly 80000 people are employed in the myrica rubra industry, driving the per capita income of farmers to increase by more than 1500 yuan. Yangmei has become a "fruit of prosperity" in promoting farmers' income and driving rural revitalization in the county.
