On June 12, FPSO "SEPETIBA", one of the largest tonnage ships in the world, completed the construction, connection and commissioning of all modules, completed the delivery at the port of Port of Tianjin Bonded Area enterprise Tianjin Bomeco Marine Engineering Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Bomeco), and left for Brazil on June 15. The successful delivery of the "SEPETIBA" round is of great significance for promoting the high-quality development of Tianjin's marine engineering equipment industry.

According to Qiu Panfeng, Vice President of Bomeco, FPSO is known as the jewel of the crown in the oil industry. The "SEPETIBA" ship has a total length of 333 meters, a total height of 64 meters, and a total width of 60 meters. The main deck area is about 3.5 standard football fields, with an oil storage capacity of 2 million barrels, an empty ship weight of 93000 tons, and a maximum discharge capacity of 450000 tons. It can meet the requirements of 2000 meters of deep sea operations in the Brazilian waters and is truly a "sea giant".

It is reported that the "SEPETIBA" ship docked at the dock in July 2021, and as the general contractor, Bomeco is mainly responsible for the construction of the upper module of the project, as well as the integration, final assembly, and commissioning of the hull.

Xu Lipin, Manager of the Bomeco Project Operations Center, introduced that unlike traditional layered construction techniques, this FPSO innovatively adopts modular construction, without the need to complete the structure first and then lay the pipeline. Instead, it is like building blocks, as much as possible to complete the manufacturing of all components on land. When closed, 70% of the pipeline laying can be completed, which can shorten the construction time by more than a year compared to traditional methods.

In addition, the oil and gas system of the ship must be guaranteed to be used for more than 20 years at sea without corrosion. Therefore, we have also innovated in anti-corrosion control and ultimately solved this problem, "said Xu Lipin.
