JD.com Group announced on September 13th that it will implement a new round of salary increases for its JD Retail Group and functional departments starting October 1st, 2024. This salary increase plan will gradually transition to a 20-month salary system and will be completed within two years. Other departments will follow suit subsequently.

This marks the fourth salary increase for JD.com after three consecutive raises at the beginning of the year and mid-year. Since 2021, JD.com has been actively optimizing its employee compensation system and enhancing employee benefits. Data shows that JD.com has gradually increased the average annual salary of its employees from 14 months to 16 months within two years, from July 1st, 2021 to July 1st, 2023.

At the beginning of 2024, JD.com significantly increased the annual fixed salary for frontline business personnel such as procurement and sales, with an increase of nearly 100%. Meanwhile, the average salary increase for all JD Retail employees was no less than 20%. In February 2024, the annual average salary of over 20,000 frontline customer service employees at JD.com also saw an increase of over 30%.

In July of this year, JD.com further raised the annual fixed salary for procurement and sales from 16 months to 20 months, with no cap on performance-based incentives.
