Science and Technology Daily, Beijing, May 29 (Reporter Fu Yifei) - Lin Xiqiang, Deputy Director of the China Manned Space Engineering Office, stated at the press conference of the Shenzhou 16 manned flight mission held on the 29th that recently, the lunar landing phase of China's manned lunar exploration project has been launched and implemented, with plans to achieve the first Chinese landing on the moon by 2030.
At present, the China Manned Space Engineering Office has fully deployed and carried out various development and construction work, including the development of a new generation of manned carrier rocket (Long March 10), a new generation of manned spacecraft, a lunar lander, a lunar landing suit and other flight products, as well as related test and launch equipment for the new launch site.
It is understood that the overall goal of China's manned lunar exploration project in the lunar landing phase is to achieve the first Chinese landing on the moon by 2030, conduct lunar scientific research and related technological experiments, break through and master key technologies such as manned ground to moon round-trip, short-term lunar surface stay, and human-machine joint exploration, complete multiple tasks such as "landing, patrol, mining, research, and return", and form an independent and autonomous manned lunar exploration capability, It will promote the leap forward development of manned space technology from near earth to deep space, deepen human understanding of the origin and evolution of the moon and solar system, and contribute Chinese wisdom to the development of lunar science.
Lin Xiqiang also revealed that China is developing a new generation of reusable near-Earth manned launch vehicles and a new generation of near-Earth manned spacecraft. In order to further support in orbit scientific experiments and create better conditions for the work and life of astronauts, extended modules will be launched in a timely manner, and the basic configuration of the space station will be upgraded from a "T" shape to a "X" shape.
