According to Xinhua News Agency, on October 8th, it was learned from Huazhong University of Science and Technology that the engineering and technical team of the National Pulse Strong Magnetic Field Science Center of Huazhong University of Science and Technology has recently successfully achieved the overall magnetization and demagnetization of the rotor of a 20 MW semi direct drive permanent magnet wind turbine, marking China's scientific research team being the first in the world to achieve the overall magnetization and demagnetization of the entire series of models of megawatt level permanent magnet wind turbines.
It is reported that permanent magnet wind turbines are currently the main model used for wind power generation, and the permanent magnet pole is a key core component of permanent magnet motors, assembled from numerous magnetic steel. The traditional manufacturing technology of "magnetizing before assembling", due to the magnetic properties of the magnetic steel, there is a huge repulsive force between them, resulting in high difficulty and low assembly accuracy in pole assembly. The electromagnetic and mechanical properties of the motor are difficult to accurately control, and there are certain safety hazards in the manufacturing process. In response, Professor Li Liang's team from the National Pulse Strong Magnetic Field Science Center of Huazhong University of Science and Technology has taken the lead in proposing the "magnetic free assembly overall magnetization" method for large permanent magnet motors internationally, and has successfully applied it in multiple units such as Xiangtan Electric Motor Co., Ltd. and CRRC Yongji Electric Motor Co., Ltd. This method not only improves the electrical and mechanical performance of permanent magnet motors, but also improves production efficiency and safety, effectively reducing production costs.
It is understood that while achieving fast magnetization, the overall magnetization and demagnetization technology also has the ability to quickly demagnetize with low energy consumption. According to data from the National Energy Administration, as of the end of June this year, China has installed 389 million kilowatts of wind power. While the installed capacity of wind power continues to increase, early put into operation wind turbines will also experience a large-scale "retirement wave". Therefore, this technology also has broad application prospects in the green remanufacturing of retired permanent magnet wind turbines.
