On October 12th, employer brand research firm Universum recently released the 2023 World's Most Attractive Employers Report. The report was conducted by Universum, which surveyed 172890 business, engineering, and IT students from nine major economies worldwide (Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Italy, the United Kingdom, and the United States), and was completed from autumn 2022 to spring 2023.

The report shows that for business students, Apple ranks first on the most attractive employers list. Following closely are Google and JPMorgan Chase; For engineering students, Google is the number one and most attractive employer. Microsoft and BMW ranked second and third respectively, with Huawei ranking 49th on this list; For IT majors, Google, Microsoft, and Apple ranked in the top three, while Lenovo and Huawei ranked 21st and 22nd respectively.

It is worth mentioning that although Tesla is known for its challenging work environment, it has gradually gained the favor of graduates in recent years. It first appeared in the rankings of business students, ranking 38th; Ranked 16th in the engineering student selection, an increase of 10 compared to last year, and 19th in the IT student selection, an increase of 9 compared to last year.

Universum stated that compared to 2022, 2023 graduates are more inclined to consider work life balance. Therefore, companies that can provide high future returns, competitive compensation, and professional training and development are favored.

In addition, Yusuf Azoz, CEO of Universum, wrote: Our 2023 study showed that there is still a significant gap between what students want from their ideal employer and what companies are willing to provide. By 2024, the relationship between employers and employees is likely to remain controversial.
