    Recently, two high-power diesel locomotives designed and manufactured by CRRC Dalian Locomotive and Rolling Stock Co., Ltd. for the China Laos Railway successfully arrived in Boten, Laos, officially "listed" in the China Laos Railway.

    It is understood that these two locomotives are 6000 horsepower AC drive diesel locomotives, which are characterized by high traction, low emission, good reliability, high safety, convenient operation, low cost, etc. They are a diesel locomotive specially tailored for the China Laos railway, and have been designed in many aspects according to local conditions.

    It is reported that these two locomotives are responsible for trunk line traction, shunting operation, small operation, emergency disposal and other traction tasks in Boten Vientiane Section of the China Laos Railway, improving the freight operation capacity of the line and breaking the bottleneck of large tonnage transportation.

    The China Laos Railway starts from Kunming, China, in the north and ends in Vientiane, Laos in the south, with a total length of 1035 kilometers. Since its opening on December 3, 2021, it has been flourishing in both passenger and freight traffic.
