These two patents are "an underwater tubing hanger assisted detachment mechanism and operation method" and "a sealed shear ball valve for deep water". The two inventions effectively solve the technical problems of emergency relief and steel wire cable shear sealing in the deep water positioning column system, achieve the localization of a 500 meter deep fully hydraulic control positioning column, and help China achieve important breakthroughs in the research and development and manufacturing capabilities of deep water oil and gas development equipment.

As one of the core equipment for deep water workover operations, the deepwater located tubing system has multiple functions such as installing and recovering deepwater subsea Christmas tree tubing hangers, and emergency shutdowns in emergency situations. Through the research and development of a 500 meter deep seated tubing string system, CNOOC has mastered the installation technology of deepwater subsea oil production tree tubing hanging, achieved the localization of deepwater seated tubing strings and control systems, and established a new milestone in China's independent development process of deepwater oil and gas fields.

At present, the underwater positioning string equipment suitable for 500 water depths independently developed by CNOOC Development Engineering Technology Company has obtained the full process product certification certificate from DNV (Norwegian Register of Shipping) and has been successfully applied twice in the South China Sea deepwater oil field.
