Global Network Technology Comprehensive ReportOn September 20th, SAP and NBA collaborated to innovate a digital zero carbon stadium, which was unveiled at the "NBA Basketball Park THEBOX" venue in Beijing. The venue will utilize SAP's leading cloud technology to comprehensively create digital carbon data management, achieve carbon neutrality in the overall operation of the stadium, and transform the innovative cooperation of "technology+sports" into a new driving force for green development.

SAP provides zero carbon solutions based on BTP (Business Technology Cloud Platform) for the NBA Basketball Park THEBOX Stadium, helping NBA Basketball Park achieve great optimization in addressing energy consumption management, environmentally friendly material use, and fan participation in court operations.

Among them, in terms of carbon footprint full recognition, SAP utilizes digital twin technology to establish a 3D digital model of the stadium, allowing operators to fully grasp data on energy consumption such as stadium lighting and screen display, as well as plastic usage, achieving full process monitoring of carbon emissions, and developing improvement plans based on data analysis.

In terms of full transparency in cycle management, renewable materials and environmentally friendly materials are also important components of green operations. Based on this, SAP combines green ledgers and zero carbon control towers to achieve dynamic management and precise accounting of stadium recycling, in order to build a sustainable development report management system.

In terms of sustainable full mobilization, SAP has created a "green travel" mini program section, summarizing travel patterns and habits based on fan travel data, encouraging fans to travel green, and allowing them to see their carbon reduction achievements and receive incentives such as venue reservation discounts.

At this unveiling ceremony, SAP Global Executive Vice President Huang Chenhong, President of Greater China, stated: SAP and the NBA are long-term partners with a shared vision, hoping to leverage the power of digital technology and the charm of basketball to make the world run better and people's lives better. We are delighted to deepen our cooperation with the NBA in China, jointly building a zero carbon stadium, utilizing SAP cloud technology to help the NBA achieve carbon reduction. We believe that this will establish a new model of combining technology and sports, and become a leader in sustainable development One of the innovative practices of the domain

Chinese basketball superstar Yi Jianlian attended the unveiling ceremony, shared his green actions, expressed strong support for zero carbon courts, and called on more people to practice sustainable development.

It is reported that SAP and the NBA are currently utilizing cloud solutions such as RISE with SAP (ERP cloud), BTP, and SuccessFactors (HR cloud) globally to fully empower the NBA to optimize global financial operations, enhance human resource management efficiency, and enhance the digital gaming experience for fans.

It is worth mentioning that the digital zero carbon stadium is also one of the innovative achievements of SAP's "Sustainable Development Alliance" established last year. Using this alliance as a platform, SAP is actively working with industry partners to leverage their respective expertise, achieve collaborative innovation and practice in different fields, and empower Chinese enterprises to accelerate the achievement of the "dual carbon" goals.
